The Director, CRI being the technical and administrative Head of the Institute has been delegated all the powers except the following 3 powers.

  1. Creation of posts;
  2. Write-off of losses and
  3. Reappropriation of funds

 

One Administrative officer (Deputation post) looks after the day to day administrative work of the Institute.

One Pay &Accounts Officer (on transfer from the Ministry of Finance) is the  Drawing and Disbursing Officer and in charge of  Accounts, Cost Accounts and Budget. Stores Officer is in charge of procurement and maintenance of the central warehouse of the Institute.

All the technical sections/ divisions are headed by the technical officers of the Institute who are responsible for all the technical and administrative work of the departments/ sections under their control

The procedure followed in the decision making process, including channels of supervision and accountability.

Only after reviewing the matter in respective committee(s), the decisions are finalized at the Institute at the level of Director, CRI for which the Director has been delegated the powers.

For major decision, the cases are referred to Dte.G.H.S./ MOH & FW, New Delhi.

All the cases are dealt with keeping in view the rules & regulation issued by the Govt. of India from time to time.
